Kawada Mami Live in Taiwan(?!)

I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw this image on the I’ve home page. Quickly went to aibublog and it said the exact same thing. Somehow I doubt I’ve is popular in Taiwan at all, but I guess they could hold one concert just for the Otakus.

Gah Singapore sucks, no Japanese singers that I want to see ever come here.

KOTOKO actually played a show in Taiwan before – thus far, outside of Japan I do believe there’s been one KOTOKO show in Taiwan, a number I can’t recall of KOTOKO performances at anime cons throughout the US and one in Canada, a MELL show in Texas and now a Mami Kawada performance in Taiwan. I might be wrong, as the I’ve Girls’ live history isn’t exactly my strong point, but the general gist of what I’m saying is that the announcement isn’t actually all that surprising. As for how many I’ve fans there are in Taiwan or if the girls will ever come to Singapore, who knows? I sure don’t. :P

i wouldn’t want them to come to sg tho, a bit waste of their resources and time, don’t want to dishearten them with our audience too. but i wonder how high sg audience(otakus/I’ve fans) can get.

aibublog – Oh, I didn’t know that they had concerts in Taiwan before. Taiwanese people are lucky >.>

misakichii – That’s a good point lol, our audience is really dead compared to those from other countries.

So, anybody up for a trip to Taiwan?

§oL – I’m not paying that much just to see her concert lol. I’ll just buy the DVD when it comes out xD

Bleh, the live will be so much nicer. I wish I could go. How are the tix pricing, anybody knows? And whats she gonna perform anyway. She doesn’t have a lot of songs under her belt right?

  7. 7 misakichii November 21, 2007 at 6:13 pm

hmm lets see, her last DVD has 16 songs, not including JOINT. Should be enough for a concert ^^.

Darn this stupid country for the sedentary ‘otakus’ with the lack of manly enthusiasm when it comes to real life. T_T

    :P

    DVDs ftw.

§oL – I’m sure she has at least 20 songs, which should be enough for a short concert.

misakichii – Yup, just not as many songs as KOTOKO’s concert though.

    DigiGatou – Lol ^^
I think it’s pretty much the same for normal concerts (as in more ippanjin stuff), I don’t really see hordes of screaming fans waiting for stars at Changi airport.

Well, it’s not so much the lack of otaku spirit as it is the Singaporean mentality of scrounging and saving money. Especially when majority of Singaporean anime fans are teenagers with no income. Not to mention that they probably won’t be interested, since most of them are confined to Shonen anime.

’singapore is full of nubs and fuckers’

    Oh, you mean like yourself?

It’s because the anime fans in Singapore act the way you do that people have the impression that we are a bunch of childish losers. And they aren’t exactly wrong either.

What a noob, at least type in sensible English. Your incoherent statements and pathetic reasoning really sucks.

Really, just shrivel up and die, and stop bringing down our country’s reputation by blabbering on and on about anime.

  14. 14 §oL January 6, 2008 at 12:25 am

I meant bringing, typo. Correct it for me please Chraen, lest the idiot complains about my Engrish.

    @Japan Anime Fan

I really sympathize with you… For you to have dealt out such harsh words on Singaporean anime fans, I suppose you must have suffered some heavy emotional traumas before. Since you hate animes so much and want people to “SUCK MY BIG DICK AND GO TO HELL”, I suppose that trauma is due to your big(?) dick becoming impotent by fabbing too much? Yea, you can’t enjoy yourself like before and now you need others to help you. That must be it.

You really are a pathetic excuse for a loser. Quite whining and releasing your frustrations on us as if you don’t have a dick. (Oops sorry, we all know you don’t have one.)

Condolences to you. Having lost the essence of being a man, I do have a suggestion for you: Head to the highest storey of your flat and jump straight down. Your trauma will be over in an instant.

    Good luck and R.I.P.
